What is stored, and where

Your vehicle selection, trip history, validation trips and consent choices are stored in your browser's local storage on this device. There is no account, no server-side profile and no analytics on your driving.

Location

Live Driving Mode uses your device location only while the app is open and only after you turn on location tracking. No location trail is stored — completed trips keep trip-level values such as distance, duration and battery, not a path.

What leaves your device

Route, elevation and weather lookups send the coordinates needed to answer them to the map and weather providers through this app's backend. API keys stay on the server. Those requests are not linked to an identity.

Validation logging

Off by default. When enabled, a completed trip records the estimate, the actual battery you enter and the conditions it was driven in, so accuracy can be measured. You can export it as JSON or CSV, or delete it.

Deleting your data

Use “Delete stored trip data” on the validation page to erase trip history, validation trips and any interrupted session. Clearing your browser storage removes everything, including saved vehicles.

Accuracy

Voltpath produces estimates from published vehicle data, physics models and live conditions. Estimates are not guarantees — always keep a real safety margin.
